March 2026: Catching up with lots of updates to guides and profiles
No news today, as I’ve been updating guides and coin profiles for a few days, and it’s a never-ending job as usual. Our Coin Series Profiles, Bullion Profiles, and Thematic Guides are useless unless they’re regularly kept up-to-date with new issues, and the chunk below is nowhere close to finished.
Regularly updated profiles, like Germanic Runes, and the four new Silver Pours micro-coins, have all had new releases added, and I’ve put the latest Giant Centipede coin in Downies Deadly & Dangerous series, which has also seen a refresh to our new layout style. These are higher contrast and better delineated than before, making them more readable. I’ve done the same to the Chinese Myths & Legends bullion profile, and added the last few issues to bring it current. The Austrian Mint’s Niobium guide will get a similar treatment in the future, but for now, the latest coin has been added to the current one.
The Japanese National Parks series has seen five new additions, to be released through 2026, and there’s some interesting information on each one. A beautiful place, I’d love to visit Japan. Mint XXI’s Art Gallery range has its own profile now, and all ten issues to date are in there, along with some background info on each work of art. As far as Thematic Guides are concerned, the Modern Music one is now up-to-date, but I still have lots to do on the Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, and DC articles. Likewise, the Scottsdale bullion profile needs updating, and all will see work over the next couple of weeks. There are others than what is outlined below, but these are the main ones.
Now I’m much better, we’ll catch up with the news, probably with more Quicklooks and lighter weight posts to move things along. I’ve started photographing some terrific coin samples from Germania Mint, and you’ll see them on site from tomorrow. I’ve finally set aside a space to do it better, and the AgAuShoots we’ve done to date will get a place on the main menu for easy locating. As always, comments and ideas are very welcome, and please feel free to donate a little with the PayPal link in the footer. We’re still very underfunded, so anything donated is hugely appreciated… Thank you.
All the best, Mik
