2018 Year of the Dog superguide update: first half of August brings coins from Canada and Mongolia

Our 2018 Lunar Year of the Dog Superguide is coming along nicely and early August has seen a small flurry of new additions to the mix. As we promised, we’ll keep the guide as up-to-date as we can so if lunar coins are your thing, the popularity of them suggesting that it is for many, then keep an eye on the guide and its changelog.

Added over the last fortnight are the well-regarded 5 oz Downies effort, and the Lucky Lunar from the Mint of Poland, also issued for Niue. One of the heavy hitters in the industry, the Royal Canadian Mint, has debuted their first lunars, including the attractive lotus-shaped coin, Coin Invest Trust (CIT) have also launched their first banknote style lunar coin, similar to the Skyline Dollars  that have appeared over the last year.
