A mix of rock music, wild animals, Asian culture, heroism, and a stunning look at our numismatic past, feature in CIT’s Spring launch

The much anticipated Spring Launch from Liechtenstein-based producer CIT hits the market this morning, and we’ll be having a closer look at a few of them later today. As we always do, here’s a collation of the excellent videos CIT produce for launch day covering most of the new issues, minus some of the minigold’s, which we’d imagine are no fun to knock up given their diminutive dimensions.

For me, it’s their release of the year for no other reason than it includes the latest in their Numismatic Icons series of coins, celebrating some of the stunning coins struck in the ancient world by putting a modern spin on them. We’ve made no secret of our belief this is one of the very finest ranges of coins produced today, and the Gryphon doesn’t disappoint. A lottery win would have me buying the gold versions on the same day!

Elsewhere, there are additions to the X-Ray, Iron Maiden, Lunar Collection (awesome snake), and the very underrated Woodland Spirits ranges. New variants of the Real Heroes Astronaut, and Snow Leopard also arrive, along with a star-shaped coin (in two finishes) which we believe is part of the Silver Charms range. There’s an original Yin & Yang design, and there’s always one that pushes design that little bit further, and in this case, that’s a striking elephant coin showcasing just how far Smartminting has come. All are available to pre-order from today. Check out our Where to Buy coin for sponsors that offer them.
