The Perth Mint expands its uber-cool The Simpsons bullion coin range with ‘Marge & Maggie’
If you don’t know ‘The Simpsons’, (where have you been..?) they’re animated, hugely popular, even after 33 seasons, and one of the big franchises at the Perth Mint. There’ve been many proof coins, mostly unadventurous in design, but also a silver bullion series which we really do like.
We’ve already seen Krusty the Clown, Bart on a skateboard, and the Simpsons family, and this time we get Marge and Maggie. In our view, there hasn’t been a bad looker in this range to date, and we’re pleased to say this one keeps up the standard. It’s not encumbered with unnecessary text, and is instantly recognisable.
As before, the coin has a mintage of 25,000 pieces, and you can pick one up in either of two forms. Just 10% of the mintage will be sold by the Perth Mint directly in Australia, and these will be mounted to a blistercard (shown above). You’ll pay for the privilege, however, coming in at $75.00 AUD. Alternatively, it can be purchased elsewhere in a capsule. Another great release, and we hope to see another two issues next year.
