Completed in record time, Scottsdale Mint launches the final pair of issues in its 2025 EC8 bullion series
In what seems to be an incredible catchup job, Scottsdale Mint have just launched the final pair of coins from the eight that make up the 2025 Eastern Caribbean 8 programme. These are usually spread out over the year, but much to our surprise, they’ve completed it in less than three weeks, giving us the hope that they may even start the 2026 run this year as well, bringing it back on track for the first time since the covid outbreak. As we’ve already covered this series three times this month, feel free to check those out for details.
This time we have Dominica, a stunning forested island noted for its flora and fauna, and St. Lucia, a beautiful destination much loved by tourists. Both designs lean into the wildlife, with the famed ‘Mountain Chicken’, actually a frog, representing Dominica, and the African Grey Parrot doing similar duty for St. Lucia. Both are iconic on their respective islands. On the bars, we have the Scarlet Macaw for Dominica, with St. Lucia having an octopus. Both are vibrantly coloured, although a little generic.
As before, the range consists of one-ounce silver or gold coins, and the new for 2025 silver bar. We’ve just split our comprehensive Bullion Profile into two separate articles, with the bullion issues in one of them, and the coloured coins in a separate Coin Series Profile, so check them out for a look at the designs that Scottsdale Mint have released since 2018. This pair are some of the best of the 2025 coins in my opinion. They should be available to order now.
