We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the Perth Mint’s ‘The Simpsons’ bullion coin range. We’ve found the proof range to be relatively unadventurous, so the arrival of a great looking Homer Simpson coin in early 2019 was a nice boost for the beloved animated series in the coin world. This was followed early this year with one of our favourite bullion designs of 2020 to date, Krusty the Clown.

The latest to join the range is the highly popular Bart. Another fantastic design, it encapsulates everything that fans love about the long-running animated show. It depicts Bart pulling tricks on his skateboard in front of the Simpsons family home. The bare minimum of inscriptions keeps it nice and clean. The obverse is the standard effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. I guess an effigy in The Simpsons style would be a big no…

Like previous issues, this one-ounce 0.9999 silver coin has a 25,000 mintage and comes encapsulated. The Perth Mint will be selling 1,000 of that number in its usual blistercard mounted form, of which a part is depicted above. Available now.
