Impressive first real-world image of the Mint of Poland’s new World Cultures – Kapala Skull coin

One of several new issues from the Mint of Poland in 2018 that really impressed us, Kapala Skull is the debut release in the new World Cultures series of 2 oz silver coins. We first showed the usual early ArtCAM renders that this mint produces and we had little doubt, even back then, that the finished article would live up to expectations. From this first real-world coin image, it looks even better than we’d hoped.

We’re hoping to get more first hand images in a few weeks time, but this shows the level of relief, detail, and the black proof finish, off perfectly. If you have one of these on pre-order you should be feeling pretty pleased. A beautiful piece of work. Distributed by Numiartis and Magikos Coins, it should start to ship around the end of the month.
