Germania Mint’s flagship Germania bullion and proof range is back for a seventh annual issue, and we have an AgAuShoot

Now on its seventh incarnation, Germania Mint’s most iconic bullion series, Germania (sometimes called Lady Germania) has debuted with another fine, adaptable design. As the series that really highlighted the mint, it’s one of their most important, and longest running. It’s also one that, since the third issue in 2021, has a design that expands with the diameter of the coin it adorns, unique for bullion.

As always, the coin depicts the female personification of Germania on her journey, that also started in 2021, and the view of her varies across the 1oz, 2oz, 10oz, and 1kg variants. The 1kg coin has the most expansive vista on its reverse face, and as the coin size reduces, the view zooms in on Lady Germania, until we get to a tight crop on the 1oz, which also differs in having Odin’s two ravens missing. They all maintain a coherent vision, and we’re big fans of this approach, as it doesn’t penalise the more affordable versions with tiny art.

As well as the silver bullion coins, there are 1oz silver and gold proof coins, both sporting the 1oz bullion artwork by Mateusz Frąckowiak, and for something a little different, there’s a 1oz black silver variant that was issued in a limited run of 500 pieces for the recent Berlin World Money Fair. This has the added feature of an extensive colour application on the reverse face, that only becomes visible under UV light. A neat addition.

All the different variants, excepting the base 1oz silver bullion coin, come packaged with a Certificate of Authenticity in either a wooden box (1kg silver, gold proof), or fully themed gatefold card folder. The 1oz silver bullion coin comes in a capsule, but does still include a CoA. All variants should be available to order now. A fine addition to a series that has carved out a place as one of the core bullion ranges available today, and as the mint has stated “But this is only the beginning of her new path…” in their blurb for it, one that looks likely to continue for some time to come.

We were sent a sample one-ounce silver bullion variant by Germania Mint, along with a couple of very neat wooden stands (many thanks, folks), so I’ve knocked up a few images to go with the article. It’s just a quick shoot, so not our best quality, but they do give a good feel of what the coin looks like in hand.

These have always exhibited a fine use of texture and finish to stand out from the crowd, and the 2025 coin is no different. We’ve always been big fans of that obverse design, as well. We do have some other Germania Mint coins here, which we’ll continue photographing soon. It’s always hard finding the time, but I’m definitely going to be doing more AgAuShoots moving forward, and they’ll all be on a new link on the menu soon, so watch out for that.
