Here’s a quick look at a hot off the press image of Britain’s new ultra-secure £1 coin fresh from HM Treasury. We believe this design will be for the 2016 run and not for 2015, but we should know more tomorrow when more information is released. UPDATE: It’s the 2017 design.
It’s a good design, incorporating elements of the main countries that make up the United Kingdom, and we’d imagine that proof precious-metal versions would look quite superb. Very muddled design.
I agree, and i think an image should stay within one colour, it should be in the silver centre. The new britannia £2 is the same and doesnt look right.
