Our AgAuShoot of Germania Mint’s impressive Witchcraft: Herbalist two-ounce high-relief coin

I’ve finally managed to set up a small space in the office so we can get some actual coin images of our own on the site with a bit more regularity. As promised, we’re starting off with the premium version of Germania Mint’s excellent 2025 Witchcraft: Herbalist coin, tipping the scales at two ounces, and sitting above two smaller variants that we did a photoshoot of last November.

You can check out that article for the background to the design, but as you can see, an expanded view of the scene, high-relief, an inset amethyst, and some beautifully applied colour, all mark out this variant as the most impressive one. Below, you’ll see some images of the sample coin we received, and while I’m still not quite happy with the lighting I have, it is getting there, and they will improve. They do show the detailing in the design, and a less than studio-perfect image is better at giving an ‘in hand’ feel, which I hope you can see here.

We’ll have another Germania Mint AgAuShoot on Friday, hopefully, and of a later release than his one, and more next week. A big thanks to Germania Mint for the samples, especially as we have virtually no budget to buy coins here. I may do some of my own, older coins at a later date, when time permits, as I feel these let you make your own mind up about coins, without any opinions from me. I will be exploring some small video options in the future, but one thing at a time.
