Perth Mint’s Dragon & Tiger silver bullion coin goes large with a limited 10oz variant exclusive to LPM

REVERSEOBVERSE

The Perth Mint’s excellent Chinese Dragon series of bullion coins has expanded today with the launch of a ten-ounce version of the 2018 Dragon & Tiger design. In all respects this is just an enlarged variant, although the obverse is different. That face has a border running around the effigy to hold the inscribed issue details, and the effigy is now the Jody Clark version, instead of the earlier Ian Rank Broadley one. This is a 2020 issue, of course.

There’s little else to say that you can’t see in our original article, but we’d suggest this would be the one to get if you love the design. A huge 75.9 mm diameter is a bonus, with the relatively tiny mintage of 888 being another. Available to order today, this is an LPM exclusive.

REVERSE: Depicts exquisitely detailed representations of a dragon, a tiger and a flaming pearl, with a stylised representation of clouds in the background. The design includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

OBVERSE: The Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, the weight and fineness, and the 2020 year-date are shown on the coin’s obverse.
