LPM and the Perth Mints Marvel-themed silver bullion coin series is back with Captain America
2019 MARVEL SERIES: CAPTAIN AMERICA
LPM’s Perth Mint struck silver bullion coin series is back for a sixth issue as it works it way through Marvels giant pantheon of characters. After Spiderman, Thor, Black Panther, Iron Man, and Deadpool, the series is back with old goody two-shoes himself, Captain America. As you may have noticed, the series is picking up on superheroes that have enjoyed hit movies, although the artistic style and depiction of them is definitely more comic-based.
All of the issues to date have been well realised and this is no exception. The Captain America design used is a fine one which fills the coin completely. Fans will find much to like here. The obverse continues with the Ian Rank Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. The Perth Mint is moving over to the international version of the new Jody Clark effigy, so perhaps the next coin in this series may also do so.
Distributed by LPM Group, it’s a one-ounce, 0.9999 fineness silver coin with a brilliant uncirculated finish. The coin sells individually, in rolls of 20, or in boxes of 100 or 300, with a mintage capped at 50,000. They can be ordered now from several dealers as well as LPM, and should ship later this month. Premiums are competitive, especially in light of the subject, and they make a cool change from the Perth Mint’s usual nature-themed bullion coins.
