With a debut back in 2013 and several years still to go, Treasures of Stanislaw August is a long-running program to replicate a series of late-18th century medals commissioned by the last king of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Stanislaw August Poniatowski. The Nardowy Bank Polska will launch 24 designs in this series and each will be available in 2oz silver and 2oz gold.

Henry Valois, who ruled from 1573 to 1575, is the fourteenth ruler to join the series and is scheduled to be the only one launched this year – there are usually two or three. Mintages are 5,500 for the silver and 600 for the gold. We have a full Coin Series Profile to this range up on site and we’ve added this coin with a full description to that, so for more information on this exquisite series, head on over there. This one goes on sale on the 12 July in both formats.
