A fairly low key month for the Perth Mint. The proof Koalas are usually available in 1/25th, 1/10th, 1 & 2oz variants and we’d expect that to continue.
The Captain Cook coin is the 3rd of a 4-coin series and follows on from the Sydney Opera House and Didgeridoo coins with only the Surfing coin to come. This series comes very nicely packaged in an Australia shaped Nimbus display frame instead of the usual box. The first coin also came as a 10oz, the second didn’t. We’d imagine this one won’t either,
The 3rd of 4 Australian Seasons square coins drops in June. This one follows on from Autumn & Summer.
The Discover Australia coins are nice but given that all five of 2012’s coins as well as the boxed set are still available direct from the mint, clearly not huge sellers. A 7500 mintage per coin.
The Bush Babies II 1/2oz coins are also well done. Only the Wombat remains to finish the 5-coin set.
The Perth Mints next release wave is on the 4th June
