The New Zealand Mint’s ongoing run of Disney-themed bullion coins continues with a second release in 2020 already. Obviously these things are pretty popular, even though the mintage is far smaller than the original issues. Then again, that’s something common across almost all the bullion coin issuers these days, the move from a couple of high-mintage designs to a plethora of smaller mintage ones. It’s something we much prefer.
Another cutesy coin, of course. We’d expect little else from the saccharin studios of core Disney, but a man and his dog is a universal image, and one undertaken pretty well here. The same 15,000 silver and 100 gold mintage of the last issue, we maintain our view that these probably have decent longer-term potential given the perennial nature of Disney, and the effigy of QEII on the obverse.
Available to view now, this is another APMEXclusive, with the huge US dealer handling world distribution rights, as well as offering both the silver and gold for sale. With everything getting affected by Covid-19, APMEX included, expect delays all around re. availability, but that will apply to just about everything else anyway.
