Australian Emu goes ‘posh’ with the early release of a silver proof version alongside the bullion

Last year we waited five months after the release of the bullion Australian Emu variants before we saw the silver proof coin, but in 2019, the release is simultaneous. We’ve already taken a look at the gold and silver 1oz bullion coins, and we were impressed with the design this year, an improvement on the already nice 2018 debut for the series.

No significant changes from that bullion variant, of course. A mirror finish background is the usual change from a Perth Mint reverse-proof bullion coin finish, and one we prefer actually, but in other respects, it’s simply a higher quality version. A good looking coin and one supplied boxed with a certificate of authenticity. The mintage is capped at 3,000 pieces and it’s available from today. You can see more at Metal Market EU, and their pretty cool mini website devoted entirely to the Australian Emu range.
