Homer is back! The Perth Mint’s very cool ‘The Simpson’s’ silver bullion coin series continues today, with the second solo appearance of the dopey patriarch, Homer. This has always been a good series, jumping between more formal character portraits (of which this is the third), and general scenes from the smash-hit animated TV show, four of those having been issued since the 2019 debut.

Like previous issues, this is struck in the one-ounce 0.9999 silver format, and has a mintage of 25,000 pieces, of which 5,000 will be sold mounted to themed blister-cards (pictured below). A nice addition to the series, although one of the weaker ones in our view. Still, a coin the fans will love, and much cheaper than the coloured numismatic issues as well. Available now.
