Russia’s second Guarding the Homeland coin looks to the Great Patriotic War for inspiration

Following an issue in April showing off their modern hardware, Russia has issued the second military history coin in its Guarding the Homeland series and this one depicts a group of WWII Russian soldiers in combat. It’s a very patriotic, stirring image and makes for a fine military coin design. Struck in sterling silver to a proof finish, the mintage is capped at 3,000 pieces and the coin is available to order now.
