Now in its fifth year, the New Zealand Mint’s Star Wars themed bullion coin series has been a popular addition to the ever expanding market with a variety of designs featuring both equipment and characters. The latest is the ninth in the series to date and goes back to the original trilogy for a look at the famous Millennium Falcon.

Shown in flight, with the Rebel Alliance logo in the background, it’s a good design and should be a popular one. The usual two one-ounce formats are available again. A 0.999 silver coin has a mintage of 100,000 pieces, while the 0.9999 gold coin is capped at just 1,000 pieces.
