Hindu Gods: Lord Ram Vishnu 1oz silver coin (2025 Pop Coins)

Pop Coins, the ultra-low mintage specialist, has debuted a coin that kicks off a new series called Hindu Gods. The Hindu pantheon is expansive, varied, and full of deep stories for its 1.2 billion followers. Unlike the Abrahamic religions, Hinduism isn’t based around a single book, and there are multiple ancient texts and scriptures from which it draws.
The first coin depicts a variant of one of the most important Hindu deities, described by Pop Coins thus; “Lord Ram, the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, is one of the central figures in Hinduism and the hero of the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana, composed by Valmiki. Born as the prince of Ayodhya, Ram is revered as the ideal king, son, and husband, embodying virtues of righteousness, courage, and compassion. His life represents the triumph of dharma (moral order) ver adharma (evil). His exile, the abduction of his wife Sita by the demon king Ravana, and the subsequent battle to rescue her from the moral and spiritual ore of the Ramayana. Worship of Lord Ram became widespread across India, influencing art, literature, and temple architecture. His legacy continues to symbolize justice, devotion, and the eternal victory of good over evil.”
The coin is antique finished, and the reverse face depicts an image of a Lord Ram statue, extravagantly attired, in a celebratory pose, as you would expect to see in one of the great Indian festivals, like the upcoming Diwali. This staatue is found at the Ram Mandir, located at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. The Hindu text ‘Jai Shri Ram’ (Glory to Lord Rama) is repeatedly inscribed in the surrounding border. Only 108 of these one-ounce silver coins will be minted, and most are reserved for the Indian market, so quite a rare one, even in a range where rarity is the norm.
