Here’s a July 2025 round-up of some new silver and gold bullion coin releases from around the globe
It’s been a few months since our last round-up of new bullion coins, so here’s a selection of some of the latest. It isn’t comprehensive, as I lack the arm count of an octopus, but they do represent a good mix of themes and producers, across gold and silver. I’ve added a couple of our own images of Germania Mint’s pretty Golden Eagle bullion coin, which they were kind enough to send us.
We’ll see about another round-up soon, but we’re swamped with new issues at the moment, which is why you’ll be seeing abbreviated articles over the next couple of weeks, like yesterday’s tiger, but only by a little. The images do most of the talking here, which is why I take such care in getting decent ones. Enjoy these, and feel free to comment below.
2025 AFRICAN WILDLIFE: LEOPARD (Emporium Hamburg)
The eighth release in one of Emporium Hamburgs iconic bullion series, the 2025 African Wildlife Leopard is another unique design, as the series has new art every year. Depicting a leopard at rest in a tree, something leopards use to keep their kills away from other predators, like Hyenas and Lions, the animal looks to be a young one, and it’s a very good depiction.
Emporium Hamburg always offers a wide range for this series, as they do for their Somalia Elephant, and World’s Wildlife ranges, and that remains the case for 2025. The base one-ounce silver bullion variant is joined by coloured, and partially gilded variants, and there’s a one-ounce gold coin as well. If you want something neat and affordable, there’s also a proof minigold (0.5 gram).

2025 WORLD OF WARCRAFT TOKEN (MTB/PAMP)
An unusual release from Manfra, Tordella & Brookes (a part of the MKS PAMP group), this undenominated token will be of interest to the legions that play the cult video game, World of Warcraft. It’s styled after the in-game currency, and is cleanly struck on one side, and coloured on the other.
It’s officially licensed from Blizzard Entertainment, and each one comes sealed in a TEP (Tamper Evident Packaging), which resembles a grading slab. These shouldn’t be too expensive, and 5,000 will be produced.

2025 BRITISH LION (Royal Mint)
The Royal Mint has certainly embraced the bullion market, after decades of relying on the Britannia, and the Sovereign, and now pumps out numerous fine designs, like the two beast’s series, and several pop-culture themes. Their latest is called British Lion, and the design by David Lawrence, is a fine, if familiar one, drawing deeply from heraldry. The guilloche pattern background has been enhanced with a Union Flag surface animation, like those lenticular cards of old.
The obverse is that very familiar effigy of King Charles II, sitting over a standard guilloche pattern, making the coins harder to counterfeit. There are four variants in the range, with gold at a quarter, and a full ounce, and silver at one and five ounces.

2025 MALTESE GOLDEN EAGLE (Germania Mint)
A Maltese icon, the eagle symbolises strength, power, and freedom, while the snake represents wisdom and knowledge, and it’s a powerful allegory that reflects the ideals upheld by the Knights Hospitaller during their rule. It made for a terrific coin on its 2023 debut, and it continues unaltered as an annual release to this day. Apart from the inscribed date, this is that same coin on both faces, but it’s an absolute corker, so we’re okay with that.
This is a four nines silver coin, with a 10,000 mintage, and each comes encapsulated. The two images above are our own, and we have many more of the 2023 debut in our article, so go check that out for more imagery and information.

2025 IRON MAN VS ULTRON (New Zealand Mint)
The second in a series featuring rivalries in the Marvel Universe, and following an earlier Spider-Man vs Green Goblin coin, it features the conflict between Iron Man, and his creation, Ultron. A simple design, in the comic book style, rather than the films, it has a mintage of 10,000 pieces, and has an obverse identical to that of the Mickey & Friends coin below.

2025 MICKEY & FRIENDS (MTB / New Zealand Mint)
Disney bullion from the New Zealand Mint has been a popular thing since 2017, and while mintages have fallen since the early, headier days (more a result of the increased choice in the market), there continues to be a steady stream of them. The latest is one exclusively distributed by MTB-PAMP, and fits nicely into their classic character’s subset.
Mickey & Friends has been a subject of NZ Mint coins for many years, mostly with proof coins, and it’s of little surprise that it continues on bullion.; It depicts Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy hanging out together, with a clean background. There just seems to be a one-ounce silver variant, with no sign of gold, but that seems to be the norm from this producer of late, including their Star Wars bullion.

The weight specs shown on the 5oz silver British Lion should be 155.5 grams
Fixed, thanks.
