CIT Winter Launch: Cernunnos The Horned God adorns the latest in the Isle of Mans striking Celtic Cross series

Another favourite of ours, the Celtic Cross shaped mythology series takes one of the most popular genres in modern numismatics in a different visual direction. The shape of the coin is the most obvious diversion, and the background of both faces is filled with exquisite celtic iconography. The reverse face is where Smartminting kicks in.

Cernunnos the Horned God, depicted as a human with the feet and antlers of a stag, is shown holding powerful objects in this distinctive cultures beliefs, a torque and a snake. This is a three-ounce coin, and one of CIT’s more expensive ones, but there’s very little that matches these for style or quality. Mannanann and Boudica have preceded this one, and if you have those, our betting is you’ll be snapping up this beauty as well.
