One of the few bullion bar ranges we cover regularly here is Scottsdale Mint’s extensive range of coloured, one-ounce bars. These cover a wide range of subjects, with a large selection of national flags, and an ever-increasing collection of series based around calendar events, especially Halloween.

The latest big batch is the second wave of Christmas Bars, with last year’s 19 bars making way for this year’s 31. In addition to that, there are over a dozen standard rounds launched alongside them, so clearly a sales bonanza for the American mint. It’s a very eclectic selection this year, with some cringe, of course, but also some genuinely excellent designs, like the superb Renaissance Reindeer you can see above.
