The proof version of the iconic American Silver Eagle bullion coin is now on sale

It’s that time of year again. The United States Mint has launched the 2017 version of its ultra-iconic and much admired American Silver Eagle silver bullion coin. Struck in an ounce of fine silver, the design remains as it has since its debut back in 1986. Struck at the West Point Mint, the mintage is unlimited and the coin sells for $53.95. It comes packaged in a neat coin box with a certificate of authenticity. Available to order now.

MINTS DESCRIPTION: The obverse (heads) features Adolph A. Weinman’s full–length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left.

The reverse (tails) features a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left.

Each of the 2017 American Eagle Silver coins bears the “W” mint mark reflecting its striking at the West Point Mint and is packaged in a blue velvet, satin–lined presentation case accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
