Star Trek Original Series coin note set wraps up with Chekov and Spock

One of the new wave of silver coin notes being issued by the New Zealand Mint throughout 2018, the Star Trek Original Series set is an attractive homage to the series that fans are sure to enjoy. Not one for the traditional coin collector perhaps, these have appeal to fans of the series who may not look at coins because of the size and cost. At 150 x 70 mm and a sub-$40 price, these have more appeal to the general buyer.

These two notes depict the last of one of the most iconic character ensembles in television history, Chekov and Spock. No surprises that the base design and specification are the same as the previous five issues, or that these also slip nicely into the surprisingly high quality album that was only available with the Captain Kirk coin released at the beginning of the year.
