Yes, it’s that time of the year again. The Perth Mint has revealed the new 2019 bullion coin designs for its core ranges. There are no changes to formats or mintages over last year, and the Kangaroo platinum and silver coins are back unchanged. As for the designs, aesthetics are obviously a personal thing, but we think the Kookaburra is the best for years, and the Koala and Kangaroo are fine designs. The Lunars look decent, but we have to admit to losing interest in the series some time ago. We’re hoping Lunar Series III will go with a more adventurous design style.

It’s a staggered release schedule again. The Lunars should be available from 10 September, the Kookaburra from 01 October, the silver and gold Kangaroo from 05 October, and the Koala from 07 January.
