CIT Winter Launch Day: CIT’s spooky ‘Trapped’ series continues its story and it has a vampire in it…

Right, I’m going to straight up say that this is one of my favourite coin series from CIT. Strikingly original, and a clever demonstration of how fine detail can be realised using smartminting, there’s nothing quite like the ‘Trapped’ series. We’re starting to see a story build up, from the face in the first coin, the straining pair of hands in the second, to this twist on 2021’s third.

I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting a vampire, but it looks perfect – you can almost sense the terror – and it suits the narrative. Another 1 oz Cook Islands coin, where will the series go from here? It’s got to burst through the mesh eventually…right?
