Exclusive teaser image of the new Ares coin from Numiartis and the Mint of Poland

We’ve been very fortunate to obtain a teaser render of the debut coin in a new series from Numiartis and the Mint of Poland. Numiartis already have a fine track record with the excellent Egyptian Symbols, and Mythological Creatures ranges. Struck in fine silver, with ultra high relief and selective gilding, this looks like an ancient mythology coin that will sit at the top of the genre alongside such fine designs as the Choice Mints Arthur and Valkyrie coins, Numiscollects Mjolnir, and the Mint of Polands own Wooden Horse of Troy.

Just the single render at the moment to give you all a good look at what’s coming and when it arrives we’ll obviously do a full in-depth look at this superb design. Depicting the ancient Greek god of war Ares, this 500 mintage coin looks to be a hugely dynamic and interesting piece of work and we for one can’t wait to see the finished article. The Mint of Poland are hugely capable and we’d expect this to be of a very high standard when it’s fully realised. With the release currently scheduled for later in January, we’ll hopefully get some images at the Berlin World Money Fair next February.
