Deadly & Dangerous is 15 and the big cuddly tarantula carries the baton for Australia

Hard to believe that Deadly & Dangerous is now fifteen years old. A testament to the popularity of the subject and of the seemingly endless supply of malevolent creatures that populate the Australian continent, it’s fair to say the series doesn’t command the attention it once did when the iconic 2006 Redback Spider coin was smashing appreciation records, but it seems to remain popular.

Another neat design with a coloured tarantula against a proof background Packaging remains the gloss wooden box, which is very nice, and the mintage retains the new, lowered by half, 2,500 pieces of the last couple of issues.

We have a full Coin Series Profile to this series which has all of them included, including this one. Available from Downies Australia and selected dealers around the world.
