DC Comics legend Aquaman, joins Superman with his own shaped silver emblem coin

Back in March, the New Zealand Mint issued their first DC Comics emblem-shaped coin and as you’d expect, it was Superman. The debut coin in a new series, the second one launches today, and it’s his Justice League compatriot, Aquaman. It’s fair to say that the Aquaman logo isn’t as well known as others like Batman or Flash, but fans will likely know what they’re looking at.

This is a one-ounce fine silver piece, shaped exactly like the logo, struck to a proof finish, and coloured on the reverse face. The obverse is uncoloured and carries the effigy of QEII. Packaging is neat and of a high quality, and the coin has a mintage of 5,000 pieces. Available now.
