CIT Autumn Launch Day: A riot of colour, high-relief, the natural world, history and science. And Cowboys…
Never ones to disappoint, CIT today launch their last seasonal batch of new releases for 2023, and as always, it’s a varied, and very high quality mix of styles and designs for all budgets. Some of the old series return, with a mix of new additions in kilogram weights, but there’s a whole load of new in this launch.
The biggest of them is probably the Wild West coins, available in everything from 50 gram copper, to one-ounce gold, with a couple of silver coins in the mix. The design looks impressive, for what is, after all, a much overlooked genre in numismatics. The Under-Cat coin is a fascinating look at moggies (site mascot Cossack, approves…), and the mermaid coin is well realised.
As always, we’ll pick out three of our favourites for a closer look later today, and those will be a beautifully coloured Dragonfly coin, a neat Eiffel Tower coin from the same range as the earlier Leaning Tower of Pisa coin, and a really striking Armillary Sphere design, the second in the Historic Instruments series. In the meantime, enjoy the videos CIT produce. Sadly, YouTube have clamped down hard on suffering their endless adverts, but it’s worth it.
