Celtic Animals is a new and very limited mintage silver bullion coin series from the Republic of Chad
An interesting new series of silver bullion coins debuts at APMEX that features a look at the use of animal iconography by employing a Celtic style familiar to tattoo fans. First out is the Red deer, a major fertility symbol signifying life.
A 1oz silver coin, it kicks off a series that, with a tiny 5,000 mintage, is sure to find plenty of fans. Shipping from late October, this has a reasonable premium, especially considering the relative rarity. We look forward to seeing the next design.
REVERSE: Depicts a striking engraving of a full size Irish Red Deer with antlers. The design is made up of geometrical decorations over the deer, which is a Celtic form of art. Also included is the name of the coin and the series.
OBVERSE: Features the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad, a shield that is supported by a goat and lion on either side. Below the shield is a medal and scroll with the national motto in French, “Unite, Travail, Progres”, meaning Unity, Work, Progress in English.

Like the Chad Mandala bullion series, a lot of empty highly polished field here.
And i can report contact marks and milk staining on the Mandala’s.
