Scottsdale bring back their time and mintage limited Lucky Dragon bullion bar program with six new designs

One of the highlights of Scottsdale Mint’s prolific one-ounce minted silver bar program in 2025 was the Lucky Dragon range. There were five bars in the set, with one released every week, and only sold for that week. The mintage for each design was capped at the end of that week. For 2026, there will be six bars, and they’ll debut two-per-week, although the limited one-week availability stays.

Last week saw the launch of Zhènyuè Mountain Guardian, and Lièyàn Blazing Fire. Both were attractive designs. This week, we get Cānghǎi Boundless Sea, and Tiāndiàn Lightning. Pre-orders for the first pair have finished, unfortunately, but the second week still has until 13 April to run. The final pair, which are Yèqióng Night Sky, and Hánshuāng Winter Frost, will become available to order on 13 April, and remain so until the 20th. All come encapsulated, and mounted to a card.

In addition to these, the chunky 8.88 troy ounce bars return. The format is different to the coloured bars, as you can see in the images below, and with precious metal prices so high, you’ll have to dig deep, with the gold bar currently in excess of $42,000. There will be coloured and antiqued silver versions as well, each with a mintage of 88 pieces. A choice of boxes for these bars is available to buy.
