AllCollect join the limited mintage silver bullion coin field with the multi-finish Predators ‘Canis Lupus’

REVERSEOBVERSE

Throwing their hat in the ring with a new limited mintage bullion coin, German commemorative coin producer, AllCollect, are trying something different from their usual mid-high end output with this new issue. Known for some quite esoteric and unusual designs, AllCollect have forged a good reputation amongst collectors, being one of the first to pioneer the modified bullion coin market with their attractive Golden Enigma series.

It seems trying something different also applies to their first bullion coin – a wolf, and the first in a new series called Predators. On the surface, it’s another crown-sized 31.1 gram, 0.999 fineness silver coin with a bullion finish. Instead of a standard strike, however, AllCollect have employed a mix of reverse-proof and incusion for the pawprint, a prooflike finish for the background field, and an antique finish for the wolf and ground. Quite ambitious given the market and we’re very curious to see how it looks in hand.

The obverse is a standard brilliant uncirculated finish and features the national emblem of the Democratic Republic of Congo, surrounded by the inscribed issue and denomination details. Prices we’ve seen indicate it should sell quite competitively, despite the complex finishes by bullion standards. The relatively low 15,000 mintage and the supplied certificate of authenticity add to the appeal and we feel this one has some potential on the aftermarket, perhaps. Available to order shortly, it will ship in April.
