MICRO-PALLADIUM COINS (2025-) by Silver Pours

At the time of writing (Q1/2026), precious metals have just come off the greatest rise in the spot price in modern history. Gold shot through $5,000 USD per ounce, and dragged other precious metals up with it, all reaching new heights. For the collector of modern numismatics, that isn’t all good news, and the price of coins has skyrocketed as a result. For most, the half-ounce and above gold coin is now unobtainable, and the kilo silver coin is now at a price that excludes all but the very well-heeled collector.

Fortunately, modern minting tech means that smaller amounts of metal can now be struck to be almost as impressive visually. We feel the quarter-ounce coin will be the mints format of choice moving forward, with the tenth and the half-gram minigold satisfying the more budget orientated collector. However, the rises over the last year have spawned a new market for what we’re calling micro-coins, which are those of 1/100oz to 1/1000oz. These are essentially small foils, especially at the smaller end of that range, but they are very cheap, to the point where differences in the metal costs are hardly important to the cost of the finished article.

Enter Silver Pours, who have embraced these formats, in gold, silver, platinum, and unusually, the subject of this profile, palladium, to produce a huge range targeted directly at the collector. These are not for the investor for obvious reasons, but they make a neat way to get into collecting. The subject range is huge, and the current release schedule extremely rapid. Each comes mounted in a themed credit-card style blister, complete with a COA on the back.

The palladium range is smaller than gold, and it isn’t our favourite coin metal given silver takes a higher shine when struck, but there are those that collect it. We’ve added images of the packaging, so you can see the specs of each issue.
