Music Legends: The Who adds bullion coins in gold and silver to the range
The Royal Mint’s ‘Music Legends’ series has just seen its fourth issue, this time with British mod sensation, The Who. We covered the proof range just a couple of days ago and there’s lots there on the band and the numismatic selection, so we’ll concentrate on the bullion issues here, which is extremely simple in comparison.
The design is the same as the proof coins, sans a little definition, and there’s a choice of one ounce silver, or one ounce gold. We did say it was simple! These keep the mintages of prior releases, with 25,000 silver and just 2,500 gold coins minted in total. Previous issues have sold out, so it seems the numbers are spot on. They’re not sold by the Royal Mint directly, but distributed by MTB (Manfra, Tordella & Brookes), a part of the PAMP group. Available now, a nice addition to the bullion coin market.
