We’ve already covered the Brexit coins from CIT in previous posts, so we’re not going to reiterate here. Suffice to say that the line art images released at launch, as above, don’t do justice to the actual coin. Now real life images are available we thought it worth posting them as the coins have been extremely popular. It’s very rare for CIT not to have actual coin images available at launch, but this one debuted so quickly an exception was made.
In addition, another silver coin called UK Referendum has appeared, issued by the Solomon Islands. We’re currently unsure who has struck this one, but it will be a more common coin. Its 5,000 mintage is well over double the CIT silver coin. Details further down.
Keep your eye on AgAuNEWS tomorrow. We’re having a CIT day with all the new ANA releases, and there are some truly great coins coming out.

SOLOMON ISLANDS SILVER COIN
Coming quite a bit later than CIT’s Brexit coin, hardly surprising since that was launched just a day after the event, another silver coin was issued by the Solomon Islands. Very similar in concept to the CIT effort, we have to date just the design in line-art form, much like the initial pictures of CIT’s effort. It’s due to ship from later this month. We’ve seen it at Royalex and at British Numismatic Treasury so far.
