International Coin House, the Swiss-based coin producer, has launched the ninth in its Aureus series of coins. These half-ounce silver coins have been gracing the market since early 2014 and are beautifully struck. This one depicts the Roman goddess of money, Juno, along with the usual two images of the faces of an original Roman coin, in this case one by the Emperor Septimius Severus who ruled from 196AD for 15 years.

These are nice coins, though we’d have liked to have seen the Roman facsimiles on the reverse side truly gilded instead of gold-printed, but the quality of the designs stand out regardless. Rather than rehash the information about the range, head on over at look at our Coin Series Profile which shows them all, inluding this new one which we’ve just incorporated along with some minor tidying up.
