The most varied range of stackable silver bullion in the world expands further with nature and art the inspiration

Adding to the wide-ranging and numerous stackable silver offerings from South Korean producer, Coins Today, are a new pair, again, bringing something quite different to an already unique range of designs. The world’s of nature and of art provide the inspiration this time around. Both are stackable, and both are two ounces of 0.999 silver in weight, but the finished articles are quite different.

The first of the pair is struck to look like the shell of a snapping turtle, a fascinating reptile, known for its powerful bite. The Common Snapping Turtle has a comparatively uninteresting shell, but the Alligator Snapping Turtle is far more striking, so forms the basis for this release. Strongly defined and angular scutes form a great basis for three-dimensionality, and the piece takes full advantage. As you can see from the images, it still remains completely stackable. Very neat.

The second issue mines the world of sculpture, specifically representations of the male form, for its aesthetics. Taking elements from general styles, rather than any one specific piece, it’s a remarkable looking piece. It’s quite incredible to remember that ancient and Renaissance artists were sculpting work of this quality using simple tools, in blocks of marble, and other stones.

Again, this is a fully stackable piece, with the obverse having a perfect negative imprint of the front face. At 80 mm in height, it makes full use of the two ounces of silver. This is the first such design in the range, but the next one will be of the female form. Can’t wait to see that, given the challenges of greater depth requirements.
