The most anticipated day on the bullion release calendar is here again; the Perth Mint launching its new ranges for 2017. Opinions will vary as you’d expect, but personally, I think this is the highest quality all round release there’s been for years. There genuinely appears to be no weak designs this year, although obviously the silver Kangaroo design is a re-rerun.

The Lunars should be available from 12 September, the Kookaburra and gold Kangaroo from 10 October, the silver Kangaroo from 14 November, and the Koala from 09 January. There remains the expected mix of limited and unlimited mintages which we’ve summarised in the table below. We’ll have a more detailed look at the various designs in a later post. The Platinum Platypus is back, but no release date as yet.
