NZ Mint expands its impressive miniature range to the Star Wars Universe with Darth Vader

After a run of Star Trek, DC Comics and Disney characters, the New Zealand Mint has finally jumped into the Star Wars Universe for its range of cast silver miniatures. Not our usual thing here, we’ve seen a few of these in hand now and they are quite superb in detail and quality. It also helps that, as you can see from this latest release, the subjects are instantly recognisable.

One sculptor has been responsible for the series and is back in action here – Alejandro Pereira Ezcurra. A specialist in this kind of art, he clearly has a talent for it as a quick look at his portfolio will attest. The portrayal of Dart Vader is first class and of an exceptional standard for something of this size.

Formed from 150 grams of sterling 0.925 silver, the figure stands around 9 cm in height and sits on a detachable base that on its underside, hold the certificate of authenticity and the serial number. Like all NZ Mint releases, this is well presented. Limited to just 1,000 pieces, it is available now for around $650.00 USD.
