GIOVANNI IN LATERANO MOSAIC

2014-NC-WONMOS-01

This piece represents the first issue in the new Wonderful Mosaics series and features a representation of the ceiling of the Giovanni in Laterano church in Italy. The Papal Archbasilica of St. John Lateran (Italian: Arcibasilica Papale di San Giovanni in Laterano), commonly known as St. John Lateran’s Archbasilica, St. John Lateran’s Basilica, and just The Lateran Basilica, is the cathedral church of the Diocese of Rome and the official ecclesiastical seat of the Bishop of Rome, who is the Pope.

The coin is struck to a convex shape which should offer a fine way to look at a similarly shaped celing. It will ship around May and comes in a case inside a coloured shipper and with a certificate of authenticity.
