My coin can kick your coins butt! Chun-Li is looking for a street fight. Is your coin up to it?

The legendary arcade game franchise, Street Fighter is hitting coins with both the NZ Mint and LPM having ranges celebrating this iconic gaming legend. It’s the latter of that pair releasing its second coin today, with the addition of fan favourite Chun-Li, following on from the debut Ryu release that dropped two months ago.

These are shaped one-ounce silver coins done in an anime style that is distinctly different to that of the NZ Mint’s ‘Chibi’ style. We reckon fans of the game will love the look of these coins, having that strong Japanese style that suits it so well. A fitting tribute for thirty years of fun.

Each coin is pleasingly presented in a themed box and with a matching Certificate of Authenticity. The mintage is capped at a fairly low 1,000 pieces and we’re expecting quite a few more of the characters to put in an appearance judging by the box art (there are over a hundred in all, but about a dozen that would be popular enough for a coin). I think this one will remain a favourite, although M.Bison and Blanka might have something to say about that! Available now from LPM and others.
