Call of Duty, an absolute behemoth of the gaming world, partners with PAMP to release new wearable gold and silver bars

Launching in 2003, Call of Duty was a brilliant first-person shooter set in the Second World War. Garnering immense acclaim, it led to a whole franchise, filled with numerous sequels and subseries. One of those sequels, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, spawned a series of its own, ‘Modern Warfare’, which has been a staggering success in its own right.

As of today, the whole franchise has generated almost 500 million sales, becoming the biggest first-person shooter franchise of all time, and the fourth-biggest video game franchise ever. The latest game is called Modern Warfare III, and was released in November 2023, to mixed reviews. It is this game that has inspired PAMP’s new precious metal bars.

The basic design is simple enough. These are undenominated bars, consisting of a one-ounce silver, and a five-gram gold. They carry the same artwork on the reverse face, which is a bas-relief style image of a special forces operative, on a bullet-shaped plaque. That design is also available to purchasers as an in-game weapon charm. For those unaware, many modern games are filled with cosmetic items, lootbox gambling, and in-app purchases, basically designed to bleed a player’s wallet dry, but at least this one is free.

In addition to the bar, each package also includes a pendent frame, allowing you to wear the bar like dog-tags. You will have to provide your own chain, of course, but it’s a very neat touch we can see many buyers taking advantage of. The packaging itself is neat and attractive, and this is clearly no simple bullion bar. Mintages are decently high, and both are relatively affordable for the metal content. Available to order now.
