Here’s a quick peek at the Austrian Mints 2016 entrant in its ultra popular Niobium series of silver coins. For the third year in sucession the mint has applied two different colours of oxidation to each face and this looks to be another superb entrant after last years very popular Cosmology coin.

The subject this time is Time and in my view it’s got hit written all over it. It doesn’t come out until early March next year apparently, but this should give you time to get your orders in given last years coin sold out incredibly quickly, quite staggering given the huge 65,000 mintage. We have a Coin Series Profile of the whole series up that’s worth a good look, but bare in mind that early coins are now selling for 6-8 times the issue price, even 2014 and 2015 coins attracting high premiums. This will no doubt continue to increase given the 2014 release has just picked up a category win in the Coin of the Year awards. Price should remain at under €60 at launch.
