Here’s the release schedule for the National Bank of Poland, also called the Narodowy Bank, who issue all the coins for Poland. It’s a point of confusion for many, but the Mint of Poland, much like the New Zealand Mint, do not issue national currency, but just commemoratives issued for other countries. For the Mint of Poland it’s Niue. Ironically, the commemorative coins issued by the National Bank of Poland are actually struck for them by the Mint of Poland.

There are only two new entrants into the 2oz gold and silver ‘Treasures of Stanislaw August’ series this year after the three in 2015, the banks top series powering along nicely. Two new silver coins will get added to the NBP’s fine ‘History of Polish Coin’ series, again, one down from last year. The good news is that overall numbers are the same so we’ll get some more unique items to purchase through 2016, and the releases are better spread out. Last year, only 5 of 17 coins were released in the first half of the year, this year it will be 9, and the Nov/Dec bunch-up of releases has gone.
